Down Under

There is a place about an hour away that mimics Australia, or should I say tries to. Charlie loved it! He is really into "seeing the animals" so that is mostly what we do on our adventures. It was crazy that we got to pet a kangaroo because they are usually somewhat mean. They also had baby emus that were running around crazy! We went into the bird house and you hold cups of nectar and then the birds will come and sit on your arm and drink from the cup. Chip had Charlie and his nectar with a bird that was drinking it. I went with my cup of nectar and the camera to take a picture when all of a sudden a bird(the one in the picture) landed on my head! It then proceeded to climb down my face to get to the nectar in my hand. Charlie thought it was pretty funny and talked about the bird that landed on mom's head all day long! It was Chip's birthday Sunday and this is how he wanted to spend it. Thanks Dad!
